Welcome to your 'Gujarat Pilgrimage Tour '. On arrival at the airport / railway station in Rajkot, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a visit to Watson Museum and Gandhi Smriti (Private).

In the afternoon, visit the Watson Museum, one of the oldest and largest museums of Gujarat. It is considered as one of the best museums in Saurashtra region. This museum commemorating Colonel John Watson is a good introduction to Saurashtra's cutltural heritage, which contains library paintings and artifacts donated by several royal families.

Also, visit the Kaba Gandhi No Delo - the ancestral house where Gandhiji grew up which now houses 'Gandhi Smriti', a memorial museum

RAJKOT - DWARKA

Post breakfast, proceed to Dwarka. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. Visit Dwarkadhish Temple and Dwaraka Pitha (Private).

Today, visit the Dwarkadhish Temple and Dwaraka Pitha.

Situated on the northern banks of the Gomti River, the Dwarkadhish Temple, also known as Jagat Mandir (universal shrine), is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, who is worshipped here by the name Dwarkadhish. According to tradition, the original temple is believed to have been built more than 2500 years ago by Vajranabha, the great grandson of Lord Krishna, over the hari-griha (Lord Krishna's residential abode).

The Dwaraka Pitha or Dwaraka Matha, also called Saradha Matha / Peeth and 'Western Peeth', is an ancient monastery situated in the coastal city of Dwarka. It is one of the four cardinal mathas or seats of learning founded by Adi Shankara in the 8th century. Enjoy a visit to Gomati Sangam Ghat, Nageshvara Jyotirlinga Temple and Dwarka Beach (Private). Later in the evening, proceed to visit Gomti Sangam Ghat, Nageshvara Jyotirlinga Temple and Dwarka Beach.

As per the holy scriptures, River Gomti is none other than the sacred Ganges, which descended from heaven. A dip in the waters at Sangam Ghat, where the Gomti meets the sea, is considered especially holy and is said to absolve one of all sins not only of current life but of all previous incarnations.Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Nageshvara Jyothirlinga Temple is located on the route between Dwarka city and Bet Dwarka Island on the coast of Saurashtra. It is enshrined by one of the 12 jyothirlingas in an underground sanctum.

Dwarka Beach, located on the island of Bet Dwarka, serves as an ideal place to unwind and revitalize oneself, away from the usual city grind.

Day 3
DWARKA - PORBANDAR

After breakfast, proceed to Porbandar. On arrival, check-in to your hotel.

Visit Kirti Mandir and Bharat Mandir (Private). Later, visit Kirti Mandir and Bharat Mandir. Kirti Mandir is the ancestral home of Mahatma Gandhi and now a memorial dedicated to the father of the nation. The structure was originally built as three-storeyed haveli where Mahatma Gandhi was born. The place has now been converted into a small museum and contains various belongings and memorabilia related to the Mahatma, including a vast collection of pictures depicting his life.

Bharat Mandir is a famous monument and a prominent tourist spot dedicated to the country Bharat. The temple exhibits pictures, sculptures and symbols representing Indian culture and religion. There is a huge relief map of India at the ground floor's hall in the temple.

PORBANDAR - SOMNATH

This morning, after breakfast, proceed to Somnath. On arrival, check-in to your hotel.

Visit Somnath Temple and Gir National Park (Private).

In the afternoon, visit Somnath Temple followed by a visit to Gir National Park.

Somnath Temple is one of the oldest and most revered temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is the very first among the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva. The most interesting fact about the Somnath Temple is that it has been built and destroyed six times and each time was restored to the original glory by devout Hindu worshipers. The present structure was rebuilt the seventh time in 1951.

Located around 65 km to the southeast of Junagadh, Gir National Park covers an area of around 1,412 sq km of lush deciduous forests, which comprises of 258 sq km as National Park and 1,154 sq km as sanctuary. It was established in 1965 and is the last remaining abode of the endangered Asiatic Lions. One can get an opportunity to have a closer look at the animals, especially during early mornings and evenings. The thrilling experience will leave you completely spellbound (Safari - On direct payment basis).

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Bhuj (Private).

Later, enjoy a sightseeing tour of bhuj, which includes a visit to Kutch Museum, Aaina Mahal and Prag Mahal.

Kutch Museum, formerly known as the Fergusson Museum, was founded by Maharao Khengarji III in 1877 AD. This museum was built by the state engineer Sir Ferguson, and thus named after him. This museum is built in the Italian style and located in picturesque surroundings on the banks of the Hamirsar Lake. It has a large collection of Kshatrapa inscriptions, various archaeological objects, arms and specimens of various crafts of the Kutch region.

The Aaina Mahal Palace or 'Hall of Mirrors' was built during the flamboyant rule of Lakhpatji in the middle of the 18th century. This beautiful palace also houses a handicraft museum where the crafts from various parts of Kutch are put.

Prag Mahal is a magnificent building made of ornate Italian marble and sandstone. It was commissioned by King Pragmalji II in the 1860s and designed by Colonel Henry Saint Wilkins in the Italian Gothic style. The structure of the palace has beautiful Jali work and Corinthian pillars that are carved with European animals and plants. The 2001 Gujarat earthquake severely damaged the palace and now, only the main hall and bell tower remain in good condition.

Post sightseeing, return to resort.

Explore Bhuj on a city tour (Private).

Today after a hearty breakfast, proceed on a full day excursion of Bhuj. Visit Mata No Madh, located 138 km from the city of Bhuj, Mata No Madh is a historical temple dedicated to Jadeja deities and is situated west of Kakkadbhit. The original 1200 year old temple was demolished during the earthquake of 1819 AD.

Later, explore the Narayan Sarovar Sanctuary, which covers an area of about 444 sq. km. and is one of the distinct eco-system in the Kutch district of Gujarat state. Also known as Narayan Sarovar Chinkara Sanctuary, it is a home to number of mammals such as chinkara, the endangered Indian wolf, wildcats, desert foxes, honey badger and wild boar. Tourists can also see around 184 distinct species of birds in this sanctuary including waterfowl, black partridge, houbara bustard, lesser florican and great Indian bustard. Around 252 kinds of plants can be found in the sanctuary like gorad, babul, kerdo and more.

Lastly, visit the famous Koteshwar Mahadev Temple, famous for its legend surrounding Lord Shiva and Ravana. It is also said that from the vantage point of the temple, the glow of lights from Karachi in Pakistan can be viewed in a clear night. This temple also offers a beautiful sunset view.

Later, return to resort in Bhuj.

Visit the Banni Grassland Reserve and White Rann (Private).
This morning, post breakfast, visit the Banni Grassland Reserve and White Rann.

Banni Grasslands Reserve is the largest natural grassland in the Indian subcontinent, and an area that is both socio-culturally unique and ecologically valuable. It has been identified as one of the last remaining habitants of Cheetah by Wildlife Institute of India. The grasslands are home to mammals such as the Nilgai (Boselaphus tragocamelus), Chinkara, Blackbuck, Wild boar, Golden Jackal, Indian Hare, Indian Wolf Caracal, Asiatic Wildcat and Desert Fox etc.

White Rann or White Desert is a vast area of pristine white salt desert often explored for its natural beauty and ecological importance. It is also called the world's largest salt desert which stretches from the mouth of River Indus to the Gulf of Kutch. The contrasting landscape of the White Desert is one of a kind in India and draws tourists in large numbers.

Also, visit the Mattupetty Lake which is flanked by steep hills and woods and has been created by the small hydro-electric dam. Marvel at the thick forest surrounding the dam along with sightings of wild animals especially elephants.

Post sightseeing, return to your resort.
